During my travels, I maintained an active interest in photography, after developing and printing my own black & white photographs in my parents’ garage starting at age twelve. I had been experimenting with my chemistry set since age seven…
Graduating with a degree in Applied Chemistry from Northumbria University at Newcastle-upon-Tyne, I acquired expertise in instrumental analysis, merging chemistry and electronics, which I later applied in the fields of forensic science and reprographics.
I am the author of over 50 publications and hold several patents, I have led courses and workshops worldwide with presentations to industry, research organizations and academia.
I have held scientific and executive positions within the scientific instrumentation industry focusing on spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, chromatography, and innovative methods of chemical & biological analysis.
Maintaining an active interest in photography, both digital and analogue, with the opportunity to study at the Brooks Photographic Institute of Montecito, CA and the New England School of Photography, Boston, MA, and participated in Professional Development studies at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. I have won various photography competitions and sold a few of my photographs commercially.
